First Generation
1. Thomas MEDDICKS was born in 1828 (calculated) in Somerset. He appeared in the census on 30 March 1851 in Portsmouth. In 1851 he was a Corporal, 82nd Regiment. He married Frances MORGAN Q3 1851 in Pembroke, Wales. He died Q4 1859 in Bath, Somerset. 1
Frances MORGAN married Charles Alfred CURTIS in 1862. She married Henry COX in 1873. She and Thomas MEDDICKS had the following children:

Second Generation
2. Frances Curtis MEDDICKS , 2 daughter of Thomas MEDDICKS and Frances MORGAN, was born Q4 1859 in Gosport, Hampshire. She and Alexander Joseph POLLARD appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 in Sharpness, Gloucestershire. They appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 in Sharpness.
Alexander Joseph POLLARD , 3 son of Joseph POLLARD (1818?- ) and Catherine REITH (1822?- ), was born in 1854 (calculated) in Ireland. He appeared in the census in 1871 in Gillingham, Kent. 4 He married Elizabeth BALNE in 1883. In 1891 he was a Boatman/ H.M. Customs. In 1901 he was a Preventive Officer Customs. 3 He and Frances Curtis MEDDICKS had the following children:

3. Edward Hugh POLLARD , son of Alexander Joseph POLLARD and Frances Curtis MEDDICKS, was born in 1892 in Sharpness, Gloucestershire. 2 He was baptised on 11 April 1893 in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. 5 He died in 1964.
May BROWNING (known as 'Martha'), daughter of Thomas BROWNING (1861- ) and Elizabeth Annie DERHAM (1861-1893), was born in 1890 in Berkeley. She died in 1946. She and Edward Hugh POLLARD had the following children:
