He was educated at Alleynes Grammar School from September 1945 to June 1953 in Stevenage. From 1948 to 1952 he was resident in Stevenage. From 1952 to 1961 he was resident in Stevenage. Between 1963 and 1987 he was a Teacher. Between 1988 and 2005 he was a Book Dealer in Chelltenham, Gloucestershire. He died on 1 October 2005 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. 23 He was cremated on 11 October 2005 in Cheltenham.
