Between 1963 and 1987 he was a Teacher. Between 1988 and 2005 he was a Book Dealer in Chelltenham, Gloucestershire. He died on 1 October 2005 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. 23 He was cremated on 11 October 2005 in Cheltenham.
